Curveballs for Jobu

Curveballs for Jobu is Offbasepercentage's daily trip around the ballparks.

Today's honorary bat boy is Jose Lind.

Orioles 9, Angels 7. What is going on in Baltimore? Brian Matusz pitches well (6 IP, 1 ER), Brian Roberts is alive (1-for-3, RBI) and the O's have won two in a row! Of course, it helped that Ervin Santana (3 2/3 IP, 9 ER) pitched like Willie Santana (27-83, 7.65 ERA for the fictional Zonk County Haystacks).

Dodgers 9, Padres 0. Vicente Padilla took a no-hitter into the seventh and finished off the two-hit shutout for the Dodgers. Padilla, the Nicaraguan John Lackey in the face, threw 77 of his 105 pitches for strikes and has a 1.80 ERA in nine starts since returning from the disabled list.

Rangers 11, Mariners 6. We're all about countdowns here at Jobu, so let's begin the Don Wakamatsu Countdown to Unemployment at 10 days.

Now it's time to play...
