Curveballs for Jobu 4/6/11

Curveballs for Jobu is Offbasepercentage's daily trip around the ballparks.

Today's honorary bat boy is Ron Hassey.

Cardinals 3, Pirates 2. Miguel Batista just refuses to go away. The 40-year old, in his 17th season in the big leagues, pitched 1 2/3 innings of scoreless ball for the victory Tuesday. Gerald Laird Watch update: 0-for-4, still hitless in 2011.

Royals 7, Whitesox 6 (12). KC has won four consecutive games in its final at bat and is 4-1 for the first time since the mid-1970s.

Marlins 3, Nationals 2 (10). A delirious Marlins fan after Donnie Murphy's single won it in the 10th: "I don't know why you're accusing me of being at the game."

Angels 5, Devilrays 3. MTD's Angels of One Part of California got another winning performance from Jered Weaver (6 2/3 IP, 1 ER) and Tampa continued to not hit (six runs in five games) in front of a small gathering at Tropicana Field. The Manuel Aristides Ramirez Experiment is not going well: 0-for-4, 3 K Tuesday, 1-for-16 in four games.

Padres 3, Giants 1. I actually thought Aaron Harang had passed away, and by the looks of this photo

he might have. But he was alive enough to allow a run in six innings and drop the defending champions to 1-4.

Cubs 6, Diamondbacks 5. Offbase prediction: Arizona finishes the season 11-151.

Indians 3, Redsox 1. Austin Kearns: 0-for-3, walk.

Other games, but down here

Mets 7, Phillies 1
Twins 5, Yankees 4 (10)
Bluejays 7, Athletics 6 (10)
Brewers 1, Braves 0
Rangers 3, Mariners 2
Rockies 3, Dodgers 0
