Mark Wohlers' Wife Saves Family

Former Braves' flame-thrower Mark Wohlers found himself on the receiving end of this awful pun when his home in Georgia recently caught fire. Wohlers' wife recorded the save after getting the family out of the house as soon as a fire engulfed their home...
Wohlers tells the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that his wife, Kimberly woke him up then got upstairs "quicker than I can blink an eye" to get the couple's children, ages 3, 5 and 7.

Kennedy said firefighters were told it was a porch fire. It quickly spread to the roof and the rest of the home.
Luckily, everybody got out safe and sound. But after spending many years in the insurance industry I can be certain of one thing, I was not smoking cigarettes under that porch yesterday.

Wohlers was lights outs for the Braves in 1995 and 1996. But after 1997, he began his non-racist, John Rocker-esque decent into former Brave closer anonymity.

Wohlers now enjoys quiet evenings on the lawn, fleeing from flames, making hotel reservations and calling AllState.
